Thanks to everyone who attended our meeting last Friday. Our speakers, Grace Neumann and Gary Caesar from Hub Insurance, gave a sobering description of the current insurance market in California, with home insurance becoming increasingly more difficult to secure, and premium costs rising significantly.
At our meeting on Friday, we also received and passed around the “Peace Baton,” which we received from Jacqueline Duran of the Santa Barbara North Club. The baton will next go to the Goleta Noon Club. The Peace baton process will culminate in a District-wide event on Saturday, September 21 at Validation Ale at 5:00 PM. Here are the details:

We have no meeting this Friday, but again want to remind everyone that there will be an informal Happy Hour on Friday afternoon at 5:30 PM. The location this week will be at the Brass Bear Uptown, or old meeting location on McCaw Avenue adjacent to the Golf Course.
Also, again to want to remind everyone that the Santa Barbara North Club will be holding a Blood Drive at La Cumbre Plaza this Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
