Happy New Year fellow Rotarians.

We had 32 people at our meeting this week.  We heard so many great stories that our members shared about their holidays.  However, I am proud to announce that the biggest story of them all is that our very own Stacey Lydon and Matt Nehmer got engaged!  Rotary really does bring people together.

Our program this week was our police chief Kelly Ann Gordon.  Chief Gordon has over 27 years of law enforcement experience and has been spending a good deal of her time getting to learn the department and getting to meet the women and men in the department. Those in attendance all will attest to the fact that we are very fortunate to have her as our new chief.

Don Jack gave an outstanding Presentation on our Guatemala project and made the pitch for Rotarians to join him this year.

Steve Baker continues to crush it when it comes to building our membership.  Today we inducted two brand new members. Great job Steve and welcome aboard Scott and Walter.

We also had our teacher recognition today.  Amazing Teacher from La Colina middle school received the recognition this month.  Did you know we have given out teacher recognition scholarship dollars every 3 months (4 times per year) since 1986?  Great job everyone for keeping this tradition alive.

Bragging moment alert!!!! Our club raised 1,993.82 at the bell ringing event during the holidays. We CRUSHED the Sunrise Rotary total.  Just saying!

See you all in 2 weeks.
