Paul Harris Fellowship

rotary_club_santa_barbara_paul_harrisA Paul Harris Fellow is a distinction shared by men and women in more than one hundred nations, many of whom have made significant contributions to world peace and understanding.  Paul Harris Fellow recognition was created in memory of Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary as a way to show appreciation for contributions to the Foundation’s charitable and educational program.  A Paul Harris Fellow is an individual who contributes $1,000 or in whose name that amount is contributed. Every Paul Harris Fellow receives a pin and a certificate when he or she becomes a Fellow.  This identifies the Paul Harris Fellow as an advocate of the Foundation’s goals of world peace and international understanding.  Friends, family, spouses, and colleagues make so many valuable contributions to your life. You can give back by donating $1,000 to the Foundation’s Annual Programs Fund in their honor, which will earn them Paul Harris Fellow Recognition.Anyone who furthers these efforts by contributing $1,000 to the Rotary Foundation is named a Paul Harris Fellow.

Santa Barbara Rotarians have a long history of generously contributing to the Rotary Foundation. We have more than 500 Paul Harris Fellowships attributed to our club, some members reaching multiple giving levels.  Rotarians contribute to the Foundation in several ways.  Some members contribute $1,000 in a lump sum, and then continue making quarterly or annual contributions.  Some members prefer to send a check for $100 annually or have a donation added to their quarterly bill by the Club’s treasurer.  Any member who has a question about becoming a Paul Harris Fellow should contact our Club’s Foundation Chair.
