Rotarian on the Road – Summer Down Under

Rotarian on the Road – Summer Down Under

Fellow Rotarians,
I escaped Asia for warmer weather and found summer Down Under. I’m spending January in Australia and am currently in Melbourne getting ready to celebrate Australia Day by driving down the Great Ocean Road! Earlier in January I was in Perth and visited Rottnest Island off the coast where we lounged on pristine white beaches, swam with dolphins in crystal clear water, and hung out with the local quokkas, a small marsupial like a kangaroo or wallaby.
I wasn’t able to visit Rotary Clubs in Perth, it seems that everyone takes several weeks off around the holiday season to enjoy the summer weather. I have our Club banners and am looking forward to connecting with Rotarians in Melbourne. Have a fantastic week!
