Rotarian on the Road – El Chaltén

Fellow Rotarians,
This past week Ryan and I spent a few days in El Chaltén, arguably the climbing, trekking, and dirtbag capital of Argentina, if not the world. The iconic peaks of Cerro Torre and Cerro Fitz Roy have been emblazoned in outdoor enthusiasts minds for years and are even the basis of Yvon Chouinard’s Patagonia brand based in Ventura, CA. Suffice it to say, two bicycle touring long-haired hippie dirtbags with mustaches fit in pretty well in the Argentinian town.

We spent a few days exploring the village and going for day hikes and wished we had more time to explore the surrounding glaciers, but we needed to catch another bus and continue south toward the end of the world. Have a fantastic week!
