Rotarian on the Road – My 50th State

Rotarian on the Road – My 50th State

Fellow Rotarians,
This past week I veered off the Alaska Highway, drove north through the Yukon on the Klondike Highway, and eventually reached Poker Creek, Alaska, the most northerly land border in the United States. Not only did it mark my first visit to Alaska, it helped me reach my 50th U.S. state, completing a goal I’ve been dreaming of for the past several years.

I’m currently in Fairbanks, catching up on work and researching a few Rotary Clubs to visit in town. The plan is to spend the rest of the summer exploring Alaska from the Arctic Ocean to the Gulf of Alaska. My only goal is to be heading south before the first winter snow rolls in. Cheers from Alaska!
