Rotarian On The Road – The Alaska Highway

Fellow Rotarians,

Since I last saw you in early May I’ve been steadily making my way north. I picked up a friend in Central California and together we’ve been exploring Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Banff and Jasper National Parks in Canada, all the way to Dawson Creek, British Columbia where I attended the Rotary Club of Dawson Creek lunch meeting. I enjoyed an informative program about the current status of oil exploration in the region, ate a delicious meal (a slight upgrade from the beans and rice I normally cook in the camper), and enjoyed meeting local Rotarians and learning about the history of the city and the Alcan. The next day Lisa and I snapped a photo with the Alaska Highway sign and continued our drive north. Next stop: The Arctic Ocean!

Have a fantastic week!
