Rotarian On The Road – Race Across America

Fellow Rotarians,
Thank you for the opportunity to share my story about bicycle touring around South America and my upcoming Race Across America bicycle race. I enjoyed seeing everyone at the lunch meeting and spending some time at the Social Hour laughing and sharing stories from the past few months.
I’ve made my way to San Diego for my final training and crew prep for the 3,000 mile bicycle Race Across America. I’ll be racing with 3 other friends as a relay team and each of us will ride around 100 miles a day in order to go from Oceanside, CA to Annapolis, MD in less than 8 days. We’re racing for a nonprofit called 3000 Miles To A Cure to raise funds and awareness for brain cancer research. Be sure to check https://3000milestoacure.com/event/2017-raam-4dudes/ to follow our progress across the United States, the race starts on June 17th!
