President’s Letter – November 30, 2017

“Rollin,’ rollin,’ rollin,’ keep that meetin’ rollin” That may have been the refrain for our November 17 meeting.  We had it all, from bell-to-bell and in between.  The last HUB, thankfully formed without my help, was a great update.
Connie Green organized and succeeded in staffing our first Salvation Army bell ringing efforts.  Please keep signing up and supporting this great effort- one year we’ll beat Sunrise!
This Friday, we have one of our most exciting and busiest agendas of the Season.  Our auction to benefit our Foster Kids program will have lots of liquid good stuff up for the highest bidder.  Also, we have some cool antiquities, courtesy of Jim Stretchberry.  I’m guessing there will be other important miscellanea as well, so- please- if you need “just a few seconds” at the microphone, please let me know by Thursday evening so I may include you in the program slides and budget time.
But wait, there’s more!  This Friday we will welcome a very special guest; John Weiss, our very own District 5240 District Governor. John’s really cool.  He has continued to serve our District whilst conquering his own health issues as communicated earlier in the Rotary year, a very Rotary sort of thing.  John will be giving us an update on all things Rotary, from RI right to our own Group 8 happenings.  Please join me in a door-busting, super-warm welcome for our District Governor this Friday!
