President’s Letter – May 16, 2017

Dear Esteemed Rotarians,
We had another fine speaker last Friday in John McManigal, who shared with us about ‘Unlocking Potential’.  Thank you Dan for continuing to carry the torch.
You will note that the HUB has Jay Ferro speaking this Friday, which had to be rescheduled again until June 2nd.
This week we will be celebrating Memorial Day with three of our own USA veterans, all from The Vietnam era.  Dennis Peterson USMC, James Carberry USAF, and James Stretchberry USAF, will be presenting their personal perspectives of the Vietnam war.  Two of these men fought in-country and one had a critical position at Vandenburg AFB stateside support mission in missile support.  We look forward to hearing from Rotarians who sacrificed for our freedoms.
“These fallen heroes represent the character of a nation who has a long history of patriotism and honor – and a nation who has fought many battles to keep our country free from threats of terror.” (Unknown)
Next Friday we are DARK for the long Memorial Day weekend. As I start my final month, I have a goal of bringing in five new members.  Will you help me continue to make Rotary SB be the best we can be?
Warm regards,
James N. Stretchberry
President 2016-17
