President’s Letter – February 17, 2020

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

One of our club’s goals this year has been to focus on quality programs. We have had speakers on a wide variety of topics. The speakers have been well prepared and well informed. Each week I feel like I have learned something worthwhile.

The trend continues as we close out February with our Rotary District Governor this coming Friday (please RSVP right away!), and Ambassador Gunther Sleeuwagen, the consul general of Belgium in Los Angeles the following week. The Program Committee is energetically filling out the calendar for the rest of the year with fun and interesting programs that you won’t want to miss.

The Rotary Club of Santa Barbara runs best when it runs on committees. If you are interested in more robust community engagement, youth service, vocational service, or club service (just to name a few) please talk to me or any of the board members about participating in a committee. And remember, with some simple public relations our club could get more interest from new members.

I’ll see you at the Music Academy of the West on Friday!

Warmest regards,
Dean
