Announcements:
1. District Conference will be held in Bakersfield on October 2-4.
2. Fiesta Theme is FIESTA ROMANTICA. Walt Stevens WILL NEED YOUR HELP.  He will have a schedule of time when he needs help painting and putting on flowers.  Dick Salogga encouraged members to participate.  He helped with the framing of the float and will return to help again this weekend.
3. Dave Irwin announced the Fiesta Party at Heritage Oaks Bank on August 7 at 12:30.   Dark on the 7th at Doubletree.
4. Kathleen announced the Group 8 Event at the Polo Grounds Sunday September 13, 12:00 PM.  $45 per attendee for, lunch, drink, wine tasting and polo match viewing.
5. Rotaract Community Day-Second Annual Miniature Golf at the Courthouse, September 19, 10-2 PM, $5 Donation.  C9ome support our Rotaract Club as they raise funds for the Courthouse Legacy Foundation. (Jenna Driscoll reporting)
6. Baseball with Goleta Rotary.  August 30 Dodgers vs. Cubs.   Bus and reserved seating $65/person.  Contact Kathleen immediately if interested.
7. President Kathleen announced that starting in August some of the President’s time will be devoted to short discussions about the club, comradery, the budget, programs, and in essence “Who we are and what we enjoy as Rotarians”.
8. Laurie Small announced our July   Birthday’s and Rotary Anniversaries.
FINES:
1. Katerina took advantage of completing her Presidency to take a trip to Europe
2. Jim and Sue Carberry have returned from a trip to Iceland
3. Dave Gibbs worked hard at fishing in Mexico with absent friend Paul Didier.
4. Peter Buehler spent time in Peru and Ecuador, however, he did not see the Pope.
5. Aaron Spechler visited Booth Bay Harbor in Maine and just closed on his and Linda’s new house on Pedregosa.
REMINDER went out to all to sign up TODAY for the Fiesta Party.  The caterers must have a head count.  Please remember to read your email.  The news can be very important.
